"B’sinnlich" – reflective is how the walk along the Way of the Cross in Krün, built in the summer of 2013, should be. The Way of the Cross wasn’t just constructed; it was truly donated to the people of Krün. Two holiday guests from East Tyrol were so impressed by the Maria Rast Chapel that they decided to create a Way of the Cross leading there. With the help of many volunteers, this special trail was completed in just a few days.
The path starts at Reiterspitzstraße in Krün, then continues along hiking trails through the Straßwald, and finally reaches the picturesque Maria Rast Chapel. It is nestled in the famous Buckelwiesen, a protected biotope in Bavaria. During a leisurely walk, visitors can especially enjoy relaxation and peace.
