Bus connections

New since January 1, 2026: You can use your AlpenweltCard to travel free of charge on public bus and train services on the MVV network in zones 5-12, which cover the entire Bavarian Oberland region.

MVV - Bus network

Many MVV lines can be used free of charge with the AlpenweltCard:

•     Line 328
  Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Mittenwald - Krün - Wallgau - Kochel 
  Timetable from January 1, 2026
   
•     Line 329
  Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Krün - Wallgau - Walchensee
  Timetable from January 1, 2026

Please note that the special line from Grainau to Eibsee is not included in the MVV. 

MVV - Rail network

You can use the train connections between Mittenwald and Tutzing free of charge with your AlpenweltCard.

Hiking and ski bus

In the summer season our hiking and guest bus will run again between Wallgau, Krün and Mittenwald and their most beautiful trip starting points and destinations. In the winter season, the ski and guest bus serves all three places including the skiing areas and cross-country ski trails. This offer is free of charge with the AlpenweltCard and the Alpenwelt Karwendel Guest Card .
