Through the gorge to the Esterbergalm

Start: Krün hikers' car park Krottenkopfstraße - Destination: Esterbergalm
This hike takes you through the impressive Finzbachklamm gorge, mixed forest with countless tree species and untouched nature. Enjoy the panoramic view of the Wank and the surrounding landscape. Hikers can start for this tour either from Krün or from Wallgau.
The starting point of the hike is either the car park on Krottenkopfstraße in Krün or the Haus des Gastes in Wallgau. Both routes join at the crossing of the Finzbach . Then continue on the ascending path until you reach the entrance to the Finzbachklamm on the left. Through the fascinating gorge you meet the forest road again in the direction of the Finzalm. At the fork in the road, the left-hand path leads to the Finzalm (partly managed). Then follow this path until you reach the forest road. Keep to the right there and continue on the steadily ascending forest road towards the Farchanter Alm (partly managed). Once there, it is a 15-minute walk to the Almboden of the Esterbergalm.
