Start: Krün village centre - Destination: Isarhorn car park, Mittenwald
This multi-day hut hike around the Soiernspitze offers you fascinating views and dreamy landscapes. Enjoy juicy snacks and relax at the idyllic Soiernsee lakes. This challenging tour will inspire you with its diversity.
The starting point for this partly high-alpine hut hike is the hiking parking lot on the Isar in Krün. From there, take the steadily ascending forest road to the Fischbachalm (partially managed) and continue via the "Lakaien-Steig" (surefootedness and a head for heights) to the Soiernhaus or via the forest road to the "Hundstall" and from there on to the Soiernhaus (overnight accommodation available). If you still have enough energy left, you can make a detour (approx. 2 hours easy walking time) to the Schöttlkarspitze, which offers a fascinating panoramic view of the Karwendel Alps. Afterwards, you walk back past the Soiernsee lakes to the Soiernhaus. On the second day, you hike via the Jagersruh trail to the Jöchel and the Soiernspitze. After a long rest with a unique view of the high mountain ranges, you descend to the Vereiner Alm (refreshments) and the Krinner-Kofler hut. From here you first walk downhill on the forest road for about 45 minutes and turn left at the bridge to the Jägersteig trail. The leisurely path leads through the sparse forest and past small waterfalls to the meadow bottom of the Aschau. From there, the trail leads to the Isarhorn parking lot. Here you have the option of taking the RVO bus back to Krün.
Please note that the Jägersteig is currently closed due to considerable damage to the path. Alternatively, you can use the Fortstraße between Vereineralm and Seinsalm/ Aschauer Alm. Status: Sept. 2025
