Tour description

The starting point of this partially high-alpine mountain hike tour is the center of Krün, accessible by the bus stop "Ortsmitte Krün". At the Maypole, you take the Schöttlkarspitzstraße to the city hall, then continue down the mountain towards the Isar. Beyond the Isar bridge, take a quick right and then left onto a climb to the Schwarzkopf vantage point. Continue through sparse woodland, later through mountain pines and through open spaces, climbing continually to the Seinskopf. At the fork, take a right toward the Signalkopf. From here, you will find a dreamlike view of the Alpenwelt Karwendel Region.

Alternative routes & other tips

On the descent, take the left-hand trail on the Schwarzkopf and return to the valley through the Hüttlebachklamm. After arriving back on the forest road, take a right toward the Isar Bridge.
