Mountain hiking tour via Krüner- & Wallgauer Alm

Tour description

The starting point is the centre of Krün, accessible via the bus stop of the same name. From there, turn directly into Krottenkopfstraße, follow the signs along trail no. 450 through ameadow area and cross the dried-up stream bed of the Finz. Then continue on the ascending path until you reach the entrance to the Finzbachklamm on the left. Follow the signs through the gorge until you reach the forest road again in the direction of the Finzalm. At the fork, keep left on the path to the Finzalm (partly managed). Here you can take a rest. To continue on to the Krüner Alm, first go back to the fork and then turn left into the "Altgraben" in the direction of the Krüner Alm . The trail leads steadily uphill along the stream and the edge of the forest to the road, where you turn left and hike to the material railway. From here, follow the path in serpentines up to the Krüner Alm (partly managed). To reach the Wallgauer Alm, cross the Almboden on a narrow path, always following the signs to the "Wallgauer Alm". To return to the valley, follow the signs in the direction of Wallgau; a steadily descending path to the forest road. Once in Wallgau, walk past the Haus des Gastes and across the meadows back to Krün.
