The Zugspitzbahn takes you safely up Germany's highest mountain.
From Mittenwald, Krün and Wallgau it is best to take the RVO bus directly to the station. The Zugspitze railway station is directly behind it. From Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the rack railway runs steadily uphill to the Zugspitzplatt. From there, finally, take a gondola to the viewing platform of the Zugspitze. Or you can change at the Eibsee to the new Zugspitze cable car.
From November to May there is skiing on the Zugspitzplatt.
