Hiking and guest bus
The hiking busses of the Alpenwelt Karwendel will be running at summertime from May to October/November. Daily they are heading for all the important starting and finishing points of the hiking trails in Mittenwald, Krün and Wallgau as well as numerous excursion destinations in the surrounding area.
With your AlpenweltCard or your Alpenwelt Karwendel Guest Card all journeys with the hiking and guest bus between Mittenwald – Klais Elmau/Kranzbach – Krün and Wallgau are free. Furthermore, the summer route 4608 is also included in the Bavaria-Ticket of the DB.
In addition you can travel comfortably from Mittenwald – also free with the Guest Cards – to the lakes Lautersee and Ferchensee and back again.

The bus offer is completed by many other regional bus connections to various places and excursion destinations. During the winter time the ski and guest bus keeps you mobile.
Current information:
The bus to Lauter Lake and Ferchen Lake will not stop at Dekan-Karl-Platz until construction work is complete. Bus services will start and end as normal at the train station and will travel directly to the lakes via the diversion route.
The 4608 hiking bus runs directly from the train station to the Gröbl-Alm stop and, in the opposite direction, directly from Gröbl-Alm to the train station. The Dekan-Karl-Platz, Ludwig-Murr-Str., Gasthof Gries, and Gröblweg/Kranzberglift stops will not be served until construction work is completed.
