We are proud to be able to experience the Boys' Choir of the Freiburg Choral Academy on their Bavaria Easter Tour 2026 on April 9 at 7 PM in the Mittenwald Parish Church of St. Peter and Paul in concert. The program, under the direction of Prof. Boris Böhmann, spans several centuries of sacred choral music: from the radiant clarity of the Renaissance to the romantic richness of sound and up to late Romantic masterpieces. Among others, works by Lasso, Palestrina, Rheinberger, and Bruckner will be performed. The Boys' Choir of the Freiburg Choral Academy is counted among the most distinguished German boys' choirs modeled after the English tradition and is distinguished by the use of alto voices instead of the usual boy altos. In the concert choir, about 60 music-enthusiastic boys sing together with young male voices a varied repertoire of sacred choral music, ranging from Gregorian chant to modern times. Experience the Boys' Choir of the Freiburg Choral Academy in a festive Easter a concert in the impressive architecture of the Mittenwald Baroque Church. The choir is accompanied by dean's musician Andreas Frey on the organ. Admission is free. Voluntary donations are welcome.
