The Walchensee Museum in Urfeld am Walchensee aims to present art, culture and history for the areas of Kochelsee, Walchensee, Jachenau and Herzogstand. It was opened on 21 July 2008, the 150th birthday of Lovis Corinth, in the former "Hotel Post" and is a project of the Friedhelm Oriwol Foundation
