Hike on the Magdalena Neuner Panorama Trail near Wallgau

Tour description

The starting point of this tour is at the city hall in Wallgau, accessible via the bus stop "Wallgau Rathaus". From there it goes first to the Wallgau village square and then via the Sonnleiten up to the beginning of the Magdalena-Neuner-Panorama Trail. The slightly inclined, well maintained footpath, which is cleared in the winter, leads hikers comfortably below the Krepelschroffen to the northern exit of Wallgau.
Those who wish to hike further can add the trail to the Maxhütte alpine hut on to the end of the Magdalena Panorama Trail. Here, you will find the opportunity to stop for refreshment at the Maxhütte alpine hut (1,020 m), where you can enjoy an unparalleled view of the entire Isar valley, to the magnificent rock formations of the Karwendel and Wetterstein massif and the Zugspitze (2,964 m), the tallest mountain in Germany.
