Tour description

This hike on the Geological Educational Trail on the Kranzberg in Mittenwald begins at the base station of the Kranzberg chair lift, where there are lots of options for parking. From the parking lot, follow the road for a short distance until you reach the so-called "Latscheneck" and the start of the Geological Educational Trail. The Educational Trail, which can also be traversed with strollers, will lead you to a variety of display and informational panels where there is lots of information to be absorbed about the creation of the landscape. At the end of the Geological Educational Trail, you can hike on toward Lautersee lake, or back to Mittenwald via the Laintal.

The hike to nearby Lautersee lake is an option at the end of the Geological Educational Trail. It will take about 20 minutes to reach the lake, where the Forest Experience Trail, another exciting themed trail, awaits you.
