Hike to Barmsee lake near Krün

Tour description

The starting point of the mountain tour is the center of Krün, accessible by the bus stop "Ortsmitte Krün". From there you turn directly into the Krottenkopfstraße (if you arrive by car there is a parking lot for hikers), continuing through the meadows, with a view of the Karwendel and Wetterstein mountain ranges, to the northern shore of Barmsee lake. The lake invites the whole family to take a break and go for a swim. Continuing onward, keep following the signs and the route toward the Barmsee district, passing wetland meadows, partly steeply uphill over a wooded hill, past the Grubsee lake to the Barmsee alpine inn. From there, follow the road to Krün.
