Tour description

The starting point of this popular hike is the Hochstraße in Krün, accessible via the Bärnbichl bus stop (Hochstraße branch) or the hikers' car park on Krottenkopfstraße. The first tour destination is the Kapelle Maria Rast, amidst the well-known Buckelwiesen. The path is a little steeper in parts, but the fantastic view compensates for the effort. Continue towards the sun, past the Goas-Alm with a fantastic panorama of the Karwendel, Wetterstein and Zugspitzmassiv towards Mittenwald. Past the Schmalensee a narrow hiking trail leads to the Alpengasthof Gröblalm. From there it is not far to the historic centre of Mittenwald.
