This popular hike in the Alpine World Karwendel leads from Krün to the Kapelle Maria Rast worth seeing through the unique Buckelwiesen. Hikers always enjoy the unforgettable panoramic view of the steep mountain peaks of the Karwendelgebirge.
The starting point of this popular hike is the Hochstraße in Krün, accessible via the Bärnbichl bus stop (Hochstraße branch) or the hikers' car park on the Krottenkopfstraße. The first tour destination is the Kapelle Maria Rast,in the middle of the well-known Buckelwiesen. The path is a little steeper in parts, but the fantastic view compensates for the effort. Continue towards the sun, past the Goas-Alm with a fantastic panorama of the Karwendel, Wetterstein and Zugspitzmassiv towards Mittenwald. Past the Schmalensee a narrow hiking trail leads to the Alpengasthof Gröblalm. From there it is not far to the historic centre of Mittenwald.

The best way to get back to the starting point in Krün is to take the guests and hiking buses of Alpenwelt Karwendel, which you can use free of charge with your guest card of the towns of Mittenwald, Krün or Wallgau.
