Geroldsee - Wagenbrüchsee

The Geroldsee is a moor lake in the district of Gerold near Krün. It offers a fantastic panoramic view of the Karwendel and the Wettersteinmountains. In summer, there are various hiking trails along the lake, a bathing shore and a sunbathing lawn that is not visible from the road. These surrounding meadows are in need of protection and therefore may not be entered, corresponding hiking trails are available for admiring. In winter, the panoramic trail from Krün and Wallgau also runs along the lake via the Barmsee.
