Tour description

The starting point is the parking lot on Finzbachstraße in Krün. From here, the route leads along the night-time trail, until crossing a tarred road. The trail keeps to the right through the meadows toward Wallgau. At the entrance of town at Wallgau, keep to the left and ski through the meadows toward Barmsee lake. After reaching the reedy shore, the trail continues to the left along Barmsee lake, all the while with a view of the Karwendel and Wetterstein mountains. At the junction, ski to the left through a small woodland and then continue through the meadows past Maximilianshof lodge (refreshment opportunity with sun terrace) back to the starting Point.

The Sonnenloipe ski trail can also be reached at the entrance of town in Wallgau - use of the ski trails in the Alpenwelt Karwendel region is free.
