“Nature shapes culture”

General infos

Photographs meet ancient cultural techniques in the Karwendel Alps

In five impressively designed display cases, the wild beauty of our local nature meets "hobbies" made of pure wool, hand-dyed silk, and the finest linen.
The photographers Kriner-Weiermann present atmospheric landscape images from their illustrated book "Moments - Natural Spaces between the Karwendel and the Zugspitze," accompanied by the works of textile artist Christine Gerg, "Wallgauthentisch."
A remarkable combination of nature, tradition, and creativity – at the Haus des Gastes in Wallgau, permanent exhibition from mid-June to the end of September 2025.
Together, a quiet, poetic encounter between image and craftsmanship emerges.
Admission is free.
